In Japan, the word “Bungu” (文具) means more than stationery —
it refers to the quiet, reliable tools that support our thinking, creativity, and everyday work.

I started Bungu Select from my home in Auckland to share the simple pleasure of Japanese writing tools with customers across New Zealand.

After years of using these pens and notebooks myself, I wanted to bring the same precision, comfort, and craftsmanship into daily life here in NZ.
